Everyday School Makeup! Quick, easy & drugstore! | TheMakeupDiaries

Hi everyone! So we know that school is coming up (boo) and for many of us including ourselves, we have to quicken and lessen the makeup (most of us.. not all of us!) because sometimes we'd rather just take the extra five minutes of sleep rather than perfecting our winged out liner. Today we'll be showing you tips and tricks and also our everyday school makeup! I also tried to keep all the products drugstore for students who are on a budget!

Before you read on: I didn't actually apply any makeup throughout the tutorial as I was going naked face that day! And of course my skin isn't that clear or nice without makeup but I felt I needed to take a break today. But you get the idea haha

  • Skip the foundation. Especially if your skin is looking pretty clear, we would go on straight to concealer. However, like myself, I need a bit of coverage as my skin is discoloured. I go for a very very very light coverage and easy to apply one- Maybelline's Dream Liquid Touch foundation. It's a good choice because it sets to a semi matte, powder finish. If you're really in a hurry, you can skip powder because the foundation ends up setting itself.

  • Conceal your under eyes. Use any brightening concealer, one or two shades lighter than your natural skin tone or go for a more salmon-toned concealer to correct the blue/purple tones of your under eyes. We recommend getting a light concealer, that isn't cakey or will crease during the day. Quickly make sure you set your under eyes because under eye concealer tends to move around (as you rub your tired eyes) during the day.

  • We would say skip the bronzer, but I personally love bronzer. Do whatever makes you happy. I likle to define my cheeks a little bit to add some definition to my face.

  • Go for a light pink, coral or peachy blush to give your face some colour. It will really make you look more fresh and awake.

  • We know filling in your eyebrows can take a while so why not just grab a tinted brow gel that will fill in the sparse areas for you?!

  • Eye makeup is really tricky as it is all personal preference.. personally, I like to skip all eye makeup but if I need some definition in my eyes to look a little bit more put together, I take a matte creamy shade and place that on the lid. Then a soft brown and blend that into the crease. Blending is essential. Then if more definition is needed, I drag a brown shadow on my waterline. I personally find eyeshadow is more quick than applying mascara and curling your lashes and waiting for it to dry (especially cause my lashes are so small.. I don't even bother) and liquid liner takes a lot of patience and precision for me so I tend to skip it. But whatever you feel comfortable doing is what you should stick too, I change it up all the time! I usually pick one out of the 3, just so I look somewhat pulled together.

  • Then I apply some tinted lip balm or a regular lip balm like Dior's Creme De Rose or Nyx's lip butters and head out the door!

This makeup look usually takes me about 5-10 minutes. Of course, you can leave out some parts or add some parts, it's all up to you! What I recommend is getting an even complexion, hiding the under eye bags, giving yourself some colour, and defining your eyes a little bit. You don't need to go all out because it's just school, but you can play around with your favourite features of your face and see what works best for you in the time that you have. Good luck ladies!
