First Impression/Review: NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer & Maybelline Fit me! Comparison | TheMakeupDiaries

I purchased this concealer about 3 weeks ago as you saw in our Mini Sephora & MAC Haul (if you haven't seen it already you can see it here.)
Anyways, I picked it up in Biscuit at the time (which the lady at Sephora matched me too) but when I got home I quickly discovered that it was too dark for my skin tone. I've been extremely busy with basketball, volleyball, family, school and friends (pretty much everything in the mix of my everyday life) and there was literally no time AT ALL to exchange it. A few days ago, Alyssa and I went to Sephora together and exchanged it. I got a shade lighter which is in Medium 2: Ginger. It matched me so much better! So I am so excited to finally test this product out for you guys.

Fast facts:
  • Released in March of last year.
  • Retails for $30 CAD.
  • 10 shades in the collection.
My thoughts:
This concealer is a new favourite. Usually when I conceal blemishes/pimples/dark spots the concealer NEVER stays on my skin. But after wearing this for 8 hours or so.. I can honestly say that although it was fading a little, It's the only concealer that I've ever had that has stayed somewhat put. And what's amazing is that it can be used for blemishes/spots BUT because it's super creamy, you can put it under your eyes and it does NOT crease. However, you have to blend it in really well. I use the warmth of my ring finger to blend it in. This concealer is marvellous. The price is super steep.. but this is such a high end concealer that you really have to save up for it.
Let me say that this is NOT, I repeat, NOT a more expensive version of the Maybelline Fit Me! Concealer. IT IS NOT. The only thing that is similar is the packaging, however the Maybelline one is plastic and the Nars one is glass and it snaps shut. I had to throw my Maybelline one out because whenever I closed it, product would get stuck on the sides and it would build up gunk (which was horrific.) but because the NARS one snaps shut, that isn't an issue. The Maybelline one also has a very limited shade selection and the Nars one has a greater shade range. The Maybelline one is so light and thin that it doesn't stay on the face as well as the Nars one does. The Nars one is thick and creamy enough that it covers dark spots/blemishes really well but doesn't feel thick at all or crease.

Have you tried this concealer? What are your thoughts? x

Love, r&a. x
