Naked 3 Palette: Review/Swatches | TheMakeupDiaries

Hey everyone! Back with another review we've been dying to get out for the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette! Luckily I (Roshelle), got this for Christmas and ever since I've been playing around and experimenting with it for about 2-3 weeks before giving you my full opinion on it! Now Urban Decay describes this as a Rose-heud neutrals palette. This is the third instalment of Urban Decay's Naked palette series (following the path of NAKED and Naked 2.. not counting NAKED basics). What I first noticed when I saw this palette was that there were no duplicate/repeated shades! Unlike Naked 1 & 2, this palette included all new 12 shadows. When you first look at the packaging from the outside, it's in a metallic, almost pencil-box like container similar to the Naked 2, and it's rose gold (my favourite!) I was seriously so excited when I first saw it! We both own the original Naked, and something about this palette was so intriguing. My favourite shades in this palette that I use the most are strange, buzz, trick, limit and nooner. I love those colours a lot and think they look super pretty! The only colour I'm not fond of and steer away from is Dust because of the amount of fallout/the chunks of glitter it has. Other than that I like the rest of the shades because they are super pigmented shadows, like what Urban Decay is known for. I would definitely use an eyeshadow primer before these shadows because I think it will make the colour show up more and last longer. This palette also comes with a Naked 3 double ended brush with a stiff packer brush on one end and a soft domed dense brush on the other that's really good for the crease. Do I like this palette? Absolutely! Urban Decay killed it again, and I recommend this palette for times when you want a little colour but still natural colour or for if you love rose/brown eyeshadows!

  • I still like the original Naked palette a little better. I think it's more wearable for everyday but this does come to a close second finishing before Naked 2.
  • You really need to pack on  Buzz and trick for them to show up. Using some fix+ from mac can definitely help.
  • The brush that comes with the palette is pretty good quality.
  • There are 12 shadows in total.
  • This retails for $62 CAD.
  • If you're looking for an overall, versatile palette, this is not for you in my opinion. This is great for girls that just want to add some different and original shadows into their collection. However, if you want the MUST HAVE colours, I definitely recommend Naked 1. It has all the colours you really need and the Naked 3 just has some really unique ones!

Top to bottom: Strange, Dust, Burnout, Limit, Buzz, Trick

Left to right:  Blackheart, Darkside, Mugshot, Factory, Liar, Nooner

You can purchase the Naked three here and here. Make sure to look out for everyday makeup looks using the Naked 3 soon :) xo
