Five Minute Makeup Look | TheMakeupDiaries

Knowing us girls we've all been in a situation like this before. We set our alarm clock for 7am but hit the snooze button one too many times. By the time we realize we've overslept we have about five minutes to do our makeup and get ready for what's ahead of us. Today, I will be sharing with you my tips to doing your makeup in five minutes as well as what products you should choose or loose when pressed for time. This is a quick and easy tutorial, I hope you enjoy! xx

Quick easy steps to doing your makeup in five minutes:

Step 1: Skip foundation. Foundation will be time consuming and if you are rushed, may appear blotchy and uneven. Try applying concealer under your eyes to look more awake and feel free to conceal any other blemishes or imperfections bothering you.

Step 2: Apply powder, this is an essential step. No matter what type of makeup you are wearing, applying powder should always be automatic. This will help set your makeup and keep your face from looking shiny throughout the day. A quick tip is to keep this in your purse or bag at all times so you can easily re-apply.

Step 3: Lighty sweep blush onto the apples of your cheeks. This will help add colour to your face and give your skin a healthy looking glow.

Step 4: Skip eyeshadow and eyeliner. You don't need it and you don't have the time. Curl your lashes and apply a few good coats of your favourite mascara.

Step 5: Fill in your eyebrows. This is optional but it really frames your face and brings your whole look together.

Step 6: Rather than taking the time to apply lipstick, I suggest using a tinted lipbalm or a lip butter. Tinted lipbalm will moisturize your lips while adding a little bit of colour, perfect for on the go.
