Everything you need to know about LUSH face masks! | TheMakeupDiaries

So you walked into LUSH and didn't know where to start? Take me back a year or so ago when I never walked in.. but the first time I went in, I was soon greeted with a bunch of chill and cool people who were so upbeat and happy! It's such a great environment in there. So since I didn't know much about LUSH Products, I looked at the face masks because my friend owned the Cupcake face mask and raved about it. So there I was, in the Lush store just sniffing away at the face masks and because when I was younger, my skin was more oily, I decided to pick up Cupcake because it was intended for oily teenage skin. Considering the price is almost $8 here in Canada, for a tiny jar... the tiny jar goes a long way. Usually mine still has product even after the best used before date. It's a great way to pamper your skin, and feels amazing!

HERE'S A GUIDE FOR WHICH FACEMASK TO GET!

Cupcake: Good for oily skin. Made out of Cocoa powder and sandalwood. Also good for spotty skin, especially for teenage oily skin. Developer wanted to make a face mask for his daughter and her friends for sleepovers. Excellent choice if you want a yummy smelling mask!!

Catastrophe Cosmetic: I repurchased this one 3 times because it smells AMAZING. The blueberry and calamine smell divine. It's REALLY amazing if your skin is feeling irritated and has redness.

Oatifix: This is one of my best friend's favourite masks! It smells so so so good as it smells like oatmeal and bananas and ah so good. I recommend this one if you want your skin feeling moisturised and nourished after washing it off. I didn't even have to use moisturiser after using this cause my skin felt baby soft!

Love lettuce: Made out of lavender and almond. Made for dull and flaky skin. This mask is a little different from the others as it is a more "beady" consistency, great for exfoliating. Unlike the Oatifix mask, you really need to moisturize after using this as your skin really gets clean and polished.

My favourites: Catastrophe Cosmetic & Oatifix

Other ones I have yet to try!
Ayesha/Brazened Honey (I keep trying to look for this one but whenever I go to my local Lush, its always out of stock!)/The Sacred Truth/Cosmetic Warrior/BB Seaweed

**Lush also has a great deal on the face masks. If you bring back 5 empty, black pots to your local LUSH shop for it to be recycled and you can get one free fresh face mask of your choice!**

What are your thoughts on the LUSH fresh face masks? And have you tried anything else from LUSH?
Hope this helps!x

  2. Ooh I've never tried a face mask by Lush before, but I think after I collect 5 empty pots/bottles, I can return them for a free face mask? That's what I've heard, and if so I will definitely be getting Cupcake! Sounds perfect for my oily skin.x
